TASTE – THE MOST IMPORTANT (TO ME) FACTOR

For me, the most important part of a supplement is the taste.  That’s because if it tastes bad, then there is a 100% chance I will not use it, no matter the potential benefits.

DreamAid Go knocks the taste out of the park.  The flavor is listed as “Tranquil Tangerine” and tastes a lot like tangerine but is not overpowering.  When looking for a drink to have right before bed, it is flavorful without a punch, which I think is very nice.

HOW I PREPARE DREAMAID GO

I have read of some people just mixing DreamAid Go with water like a normal supplement and calling it a day – or night I suppose.  That’s not how I do it.  I like to prepare it like a nighttime tea of sorts.

I fire up the electric kettle and get some hot water going.  Then I pour into a glass coffee mug (more on this later) and mix it up.  It mixes very easily with the hot water, so there have never been any chunks or anything gross like that.

I like to get it ready about 30 minutes before I am ready to go to sleep.  While I am drinking it, I will read or stretch to help get my body and mind also ready for sleep.

IMPORTANT – I would highly recommend using a coffee mug or cup that is not your favorite.  Since I am drinking it right before bed, I don’t always clean it out the same night.  The orange powder can and will stain a coffee mug, especially a white one.  Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

THE INGREDIENTS

For me, the results are way more important than the ingredients, but that is mainly because I don’t really understand what all the benefits of each ingredient is.  I know for many of you, the ingredient list is very important, so I didn’t want to leave them out.

The main ingredients touted on the website are melatonin, chamomile, valerian, lemon balm, and GABA.

I was drawn to this due to the melatonin since I knew that would help my body know it is time to sleep.  I have tried melatonin products in the past with no luck, but this really seemed to do the trick for me.

Valerian is supposed to help you fall asleep faster and improve sleep quality.  I think this has been true for me, as I typically have great sleep on the nights I use DreamAid Go.  It could be a placebo effect, but it really seems to work for me.

FINAL THOUGHTS ON DREAMAID GO

I really love this product.  I decided to give it a go when I got some in a Gainz Box.  I was familiar with and enjoy FitAid so I figured it wouldn’t hurt to try it.

It has been a gamechanger for me.  As someone who struggles to get up early as a night owl, this has made falling asleep at an appropriate time much more manageable.  I also don’t feel groggy or seem to have any side effects in the mornings which is a huge plus.

Anything at all that could help me get to the gym in the mornings is a win for me.  However, anyone looking to improve fitness needs quality sleep.  This could be something that helps with that.
